We take for granted that the voices of the helpful devices around us tend to sound feminine. In this piece, we explore the origin and evolution of those voices, and what effects they have in regard to society's perception of gender roles. Set in a futuristic environment, the story is meant to feel relatable but lifeless and eerie at the same time.
