For the show launch, I worked on prototyping animated explainers and defining design guidelines. It was crude and experimental at best, but it was an exciting opportunity to get my feet into journalism and give my spin on news stories.

VICE TV Relaunch

After a short hiatus, VICE News Tonight relaunched on VICE TV in 2020. The show adopted a new accent color to align with VICE Media Group’s strategy and the set design and interstitials were made to further strengthen its identity.

With longer airtime and shift in distribution, the news department pivoted to producing more recurring themed segments and long-form documentaries. Graphics team’s focus moved away from covering daily news to packaging various contents.
